lsq rooftop

guess whaaat

got stood up for the first time. or maybe it’s more like a no show? we agreed to meet at a bar at 7. i texted him that i’m there and that was just before 7. AFTER 7 he replies saying “are you free monday instead”. no apology but instead a he didn’t feel well the night before and an i “won’t see him at his best” like that.

men are trash

anyways, like 5-10 min after a friend called saying she was in the area so we met up and headed to a rooftop bar. makes us feel classy. also increases the chance of a rich guy finding interest in us haha (didnt happen)

the bar was located on top of a hotel. the interior was very nice with low ambiant lighting. the view was super, we could see the eye and many cranes lol. when we arrived there was no window seating but we asked the kind staff to move us/let us know when one opens up. what i really liked about this place was that the seating was all indoor. they had an outdoor balcony, but it only has standing tables. so you can go any time of the year!

the menu had classic cocktails and the usual wine and beer selection. they also had their specialty cocktails priced higher at a 19£. it is a lot, but not too surprising based on location and rooftop. their non-alcoholic cocktail selection is super tiny. i think there were only 2 options. but they also serve tea, coffee and soda. they don’t serve meals, but have a nice selection of finger foods. my friend wasn’t wanting their truffle chips and the waiter was totally ok with us asking for a plain portion. it actually can with some very nice seasoning on it! i ordered zucchini friters and they were quite tasty. tempura style batter sprinkled with parmasan. only thing i’d say it to eat it right away. after sitting and cooling a bit, the crisp left and it felt quite oily.

a nice calm place to catch up with friends or just for some peace
